Dr. Popat's journey in dentistry began with his qualification from Guy's Hospital in 1993, followed by the prestigious MFGDP obtained from the Royal College of Surgeons in 1998. His dedication to continuous learning is underscored by his recent achievement as one of the pioneering individuals to attain a Master's in Sports Dentistry. This specialization reflects his profound expertise in the intersection of oral health and sports.

In addition to his clinical achievements, Dr. Popat has held the esteemed position of Past Director of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, contributing significantly to the field. His commitment to mentorship is evident through his role as a Mentor at the Kois Center in Seattle, where he imparts knowledge and guidance to aspiring dental professionals.

Monika is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background, graduating in 2007 from the University of Birmingham with a BSc (Hons) in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. With 17 years of experience and 12 years with Dr S Popat in general practice, she is dedicated to promoting optimal oral and general health for her patients.

Complementing her dental expertise, Monika holds a primary degree in Human Nutrition, leveraging both disciplines to provide comprehensive care. Her commitment to excellence in patient treatment led to her recognition as 'Dental Hygienist of the Year' in May 2011, a distinction covered by Probe magazine.

Monika excels in patient care, particularly for those with dental anxiety and phobia, offering a comforting presence throughout their treatment journey. Committed to continuous improvement, she regularly attends courses to stay abreast of the latest advancements and ensure the highest quality of care.

In her role as the clinical Lead for dental hygienists and therapists at the Colosseum Dental Group, Monika's contributions have been pivotal. Recently promoted to sit on the Medical Advisory Board, she plays a key role in shaping the group's clinical direction.

Demonstrating her commitment to community well-being, Monika volunteered as a clinical case worker for the test and trace program during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, she registered with St John Ambulance as a vaccinator, showcasing her dedication to public health.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Monika actively engages in charitable work. She organizes a monthly homeless drop in London and is a proud member of Lions Club International. Her club's initiatives include fundraising events for crucial medical equipment, such as a Portable Ultrasound Machine for the transplant retrieval team at Harefield Hospital. Monika also contributes to health awareness campaigns, addressing issues like diabetes in high-risk population groups.

Ian qualified from Leeds in 1998 and went into general practice in the North West. In 2001 he was awarded Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practice. In 2002 he joined the teaching staff at Liverpool Dental Hospital in the Periodontology Department where he became the Undergraduate Teaching Lead in Periodontics and a Senior Clinical Teacher in Periodontics, a role he held for 5 years until leaving that position in 2018. In 2010 he completed his MSc in Periodontology and in 2013 he was admitted to the GDC Specialist List in Periodontics. In 2023 Ian was invited to become a Fellow of the College or General Dentistry.

Ian spends three days a week in private practice in the North West of England where he takes referrals for all aspects of Periodontology. He is the British Society of Periodontology regional representative for Merseyside and Cheshire and serves on their Council as Honorary Treasurer. In 2014 he was also elected to the BSP Faculty. He is the Deputy of the European Federation of Periodontology Communications Committee and is on the editorial board of Dental Update.

Ian teaches for the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons and runs their short course in Periodontics.

Sonal’s journey in dentistry commenced in 2004 when she embarked on the path to become a dental nurse. Following the successful acquisition of her qualification, she furthered her education in Oral Health Science at the University of Manchester. By 2008, Sonal achieved the status of a qualified Dental Therapist. Notably, Sonal’s dedication to excellence in dental care was recognized in 2022 when she was honoured with the title of Dental Hygienist of the Year for the esteemed Colosseum Dental Group.

Throughout her professional trajectory, she has cultivated a longstanding collaboration with Dr Shameek Popat at Rosebank Dental, spanning over 15 years. Their professional relationship has evolved into a true friendship, akin to family. It was during this time that Dr Popat approached Sonal with a visionary concept: the development and design of luxurious yet sustainable dental products. Intrigued and inspired, Sonal eagerly embraced the opportunity, leading to the creation of Tooth Angel which we are very proud of.

Nishan Dixit qualified from Guys Dental Hospital in 1994.

After qualifying he worked as an associate in a couple of practices in North-West London for 5yrs. In 2000 he established Blue Court Dental in Harrow, Middlesex.

Being in a general practice environment he covers all aspects of dentistry; however, he has a particular interest in minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry.

He is a Past President of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) and was on their Board for 11 years where his main role was as Scientific Director.

Prior to this he served on the Anglo-Asian Odonatological Group (AOG) Committee for 10yrs in various capacities.

Following his passion has led him to be trained by leading clinicians both nationally and internationally.

Anni Seaborne, an accomplished dentist based in London and Surrey, is a pioneering figure in sports dentistry.

As the first female, as well as the youngest, to attain a Masters in Sports Dentistry, she's an established member of the wider medical team of Harlequins Rugby, England Rugby, and McLaren F1.

Anni serves as the Head of Dentistry at Bupa Dental Care, blending her expertise with a rich background as a former international athlete to elevate standards in oral healthcare.

Qualifying from Birmingham University, Andrew followed a journey to progress to further qualifications, experience and training. These form the basis of his special interests in dental aesthetics, composite resin bonding, complex rehabilitation and management of wear.

Andrew gained Distinction in a double Masters of Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) in fixed and removable prosthodontics as well as two further academic diplomas. He is a graduate of the Kois Centre – based in Seattle – of which only a handful have attained this nine-step level of training within the UK.

Andrew is Past President for the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a long-standing member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the International Team for Implantology, the Association of Dental Implantology and the British Society of Occlusal Studies. He is also a postgraduate tutor for King’s College London and sits on the editorial board of many dental subscriptions.

He is also an educator to other dentists on a national and international level. Andrew is a key opinion leader to the industry and is Director of IndigoDent, providing dental education that focuses on composite resin, photography and tooth wear management.

Dr Sam Jethwa is well known within UK cosmetic dentistry as founder of Bespoke Smile Advanced Dentistry and Academy. He is President Elect at The British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr Jethwa is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and is a qualified clinical teacher trained by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Dr Jethwa is a key opinion leader for multiple dental material and technology companies.

Andy Acton is a serial entrepreneur developing the FTA group of companies, a full range of business services for the dental profession.

Andy’s first move into business was to acquire Frank Taylor & Associates back in 2000 and build on the guiding principles established back when the company was established in the late 1980’s. Frank Taylor & Associates is still the leading valuer and sales agent to the dental profession some 30 years on.

Andy is a sought after public speaker covering topics including leadership, management, marketing and the future value of dental practices.

Andy is also a director and co-owner of FTA Finance, the award winning healthcare finance broker and FTA Financial & Wealth Management, the specialist financial services provider for the dental profession. He was also part of the executive team that created FTA Law back in 2016 and exited in
2023.

Following which Shilpa relocated to Great Britain and done her Overseas registration exams(ORE) She further persuaded into cosmetic and Ortho restorative dentistry which forms the basis of her
practice.
